I love a love hate relationship with cookies and cream. I don't really like it as ice cream. I know what you are thinking! Insane, right? I dunno I think it's boring. I'd MUCH prefer chocolate ice cream. But I love cookies and cream in everything else. Cookies and cream white chocolate YUM! And now COOKIES AND CREAM MANICURE!
This is OPI Alpine with LA Glitter Addict Uninhabited. OH MY GAWD Uninhabited is my new favourite glitter. Oh I love this so efffffffffffing much!
It is a really smooth glitter too and it is very buildable. I swatched it on a nail wheel and I reckon in 3 or 4 coats you could get opaque enough. I LOVE BLACK GLITTER!!!

First Outfit of the Day.
Why hello there. Outfit? This is a nail polish blog, you can't! Well I say, open your damn mind. Which is exactly what I have done. I am opening this blog to outfits and maybe make up, if I do anything special or worth while of bloggersphere. At the moment, my photography technique is quite shitty, actually. But I feel I have gotten better with my nails. I know not to take photo after the sun goes down. (which is... urm... exactly what I've done, oops!) and do it in a relatively nice and no-distractions background (double d'oh!). But since this is my first go, I might give myself a little break and never break those rules again. Also I took hideous mirror-myspace photos with flash reflection which I'm going to post so that in a few months time I can look back to my first OOTD post and say "Oooohhhhh, look how much I've improved." No duckface though, I did get something right.
One thing that is a theme throughout this blog, whether it be on my nails or clothes, is my love of bright, bold primary colours. I love wearing red, and black. I love black accessories. My style is, I guess what I would call, casual punk chic. I wear a lot of band t-shirts with jeans, styled with accessories and cute shoes. I love shoes! So I feel this outfit today is a great representation of who I am and my style and personality.
Now the beads. Oh, the Beads. They were a 21st gift to myself. I wore them on my 21st party and just about every day since. I love them to pieces. Mostly because they have little skulls on them! I'll wear anything with a skull on it! I bought these beads from Tilka for a whooping $70. Normally I don't buy costume jewelry that expensive as a rule because, well, it's costume jewelry and it doesn't last. But I loved them so much and wanted to spoil myself, and they looked super cool with my birthday outfit!
Then I wanted to see te different looks I could achieve with the red denim. This is a bit more a dressy look, say if I wanted to go to restaurant or something.
A hideous mirror shot. LOOK AT THAT FLASH! I promise to never do it again. But look how skinny I look! Hahaha!!! I have to say though. I have been looking at blogs like Vintage Or Tacky and Konadlicious lately and really admiring their courage. I don't necessarily have self-esteem issues but I do wish I was a lot skinner than I am and sometime it's stopped me from doing things that I want to do. But these girl aren't you're typical size 6 or 8, or whatever country you are from that means too skinny model, but they put themselves out there in front of the camera and show off their unique style for their followers or haters to judge. They both exude confidence and chrisma, and that is something that I want to work on starting with this OOTD thing!

So this is the outfit, and what I am wearing is a ridiculously cheap outfit. The beads along cost about as much as the whole outfit. From head to toe, the leopard print collared 3/4 length over shirt was something like $10 from Coco Latte. The shirt I am wearing is from a fabulous punk band called the Bronx, and if you're a regular reader you'll know I listen to that band so much. They are incredible live! I got the t-shirt from Soundwave last year for about $30. The jeans are Factory Spray On Jeans in red for $40.
This is my favourite part of the outfit. The shoes. They are London Rebel Leopard print Slip On's and they are to die for! Wicked comfy and I got them for $20! That outfit comes to a total of $100.Now the beads. Oh, the Beads. They were a 21st gift to myself. I wore them on my 21st party and just about every day since. I love them to pieces. Would Anyone Be Interested In Outfit Of the Day Posts?
I probably won't be able to do it every day, but I just bought a bunch of new clothes and I want to get creative with them and show them off. Honest opinions allowed (but bitchiness is unwelcomed)

Illamasqua Inspiration and Stash.
Hey guys! So has everyone seen Illamasqua Human Fundamentalist collection? Their press release is AMAZING! I am in love with the photos so much. The bold colours and original make up artistry is spectacular. I love Illamasqua as a brand. They are super creative and inventive!
I wanted to imitate the colours of the nails in the first photo, the reverse manicure. But I showed you that a week ago so I decided to do a taped mani. Now I am not very good with taped mani, so this is not exactly the neatest manicure.
I used China Glaze For Audrey as my base and then CG Flying Dragon for the purple and then OPI Divine Swine. These are colours I don't use often, but I LOVE them together. They aren't exactly the colours Illamasqua have released with this colection, For Audrey is too blue and Flying Dragon is a lot darker. I think I'll need to save my monies and head to DJ's to buy me some!
Side note: I got really bored a few nights ago and put my nail polish collection in colour order.
I can't remember the exactly number of polishes I have but it's about 120. Which, when you hear that people like Jen from The PolishAholic has over 1800, my humble little stash is nothing. The white shoe boxes draws underneath the coffee table is where I keep them all. At the moment I fill up two big shoe boxes but they are completely full and I'll need a new box when I buy more polish!

Happy Egg Day
Hey guys, how was your Easter Day? Mine was good when went down to the down where my Aunty has a beach house. We took my 18 month old cousin to the beach. It was ridiculously cute. He didn't like water, it was too cold. He is so sweet! He is beginning to talk and he doesn't say words like dog, ball or cat. He says phrases like "What is that?" and "Look at that!" THE CUTEST THING EVER! And he give great hi fives!
Excuse the hideous shape of my nails. This was just before I decided to chop then down last week. The idea I was going for was like rainbow of flakies. It'd didn't really turn out I thought but I still like them. I thought because of the colour shift with curvature of the nail, it would colour like rainbow but I don't think my nails are wide enough. I still like though!
I didn't wear this for Easter, I didn't wear much for Easter. I wore Zoya Kieko, I was gunna put pastel dots on it but I run out of time. So this is Essence Black is Back with Nubar 2010, Inglot 203 and 204. YUM!

Short and Shaped.
OMG I love mah nails now, I don't even care that I lost a butt-crack load of length! And with this kind of mani they look even shorter. I still don't careeeee! Weeee! It really took some grinding, since I didn't use my pathetic excuse for a glass nail. But I just love them when they are all perfectly square. So this manicure is a somewhat failed manicure but I still really love it. I used to do this all the time and use a silver for the reverse tips, but I decided to give it a bit of a twist and use Hit Hefesto. I have also been wanting to show you Essence Black is Back. It truly is a beautiful glossy black, the formula isn't great though. I think because it's suppose to be quick drying so it's got that QD thick formula and I'm nearly at the end of the bottle and it's extra thick, and a little un-manageable, no matter how much thinner I put in it!
And these were taken in the sun, you can see a little holographic effect. If you squint and look hard...
I call this a failure because you can barely see the holographic effect. However, I really like it. It's delicate whilst the black makes it bold. It's like I have a shimmery holographic peachy polish underneath. So I like it in those regards. But I was going for silver holographic. I guess Hefesto is too sheer for that and I wasn't going to add a second coat of Hefesto and waste that teeny tiny bottle of rainbow for a manicure that was going to be covered by black.

I'm On a Bit Of Layering Bender
When I wrote Bender in the title I said to out loud "Bender Bending Rodriguez" and rolling the R in Rodriguez. I love Bender (Futurama, anyone?). Anyway, I love and hate that Ozotic multichromes are fairly sheer. Great for layering but I'm sick of black undies! I thought I'd change it up a bit and use OPI Metallic 4 Life as well. So this is Essence Black is Back, Metallic 4 Life and Ozotic 504.
M4L is a really messy and clumpy polish. I'd love it to death if it was cleaner and smoother. Now I have to take my puppy for a walk because I mentioned the codeword for walk ie "Plonk" and now he is whinging. Hahaha I love him!

Green, Black and Flakies
I bought a few Essence colours, and I have been using Black is back nearly every second. I love that black! So this is Black is Back, Essence Choose Me! and Nubar 2010.
If you've seen Essence Choose Me! by itself, it's actually a blue jelly with greeny-yellow shimmers to it. But layered over black it take out all the blue and all you see is the green shimmer. It's so great!
