Connect the Dots.

I LOVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEE this polish so much. This was a lemming for a good six months and I never thought I'd get my hands on it because Lynn doesn't ship outside the US. Thankfully, us international ladies have Llarowe. I tried this over Zoya Areej. Areej is a smooth smokey pink creme, a perfect base for Connect the Dots.

When I was wishing for this polish and stalking other sites to see their layring combination, I didn't really like the little shimmer that's in. I liked the stark contrasting look of the white and black glitter, and the white shimmer sort of took that away. But the shimmer looks more noticeable in the photos. It's very subtle in read life. I much like it on my fingertips. It's a perfect polish to spice up an old creme manicure.

 

Also Areej is one hard polish to capture. My camera makes this polish look very bubble gum pink, which is just not. Its a nice dark smokey magenta.

I have so many idea for CtD. I'm thinking a creme ombre with CtD layered over it, and a bright skittle mani and CtD. Oh! I need a light grey to under this now. The possibilities are endless. Thank you Lynnderella!

The Lynnderella's Arrived!

My very first Lynnderella post. I've wanted Snow Angel for agggggeeeessss. It's the most beautiful white ever! I bought this off Llarowe a week before Xmas and they arrived yesterday. Only took three weeks to here from USA, really quick considering I ordered it during the busiest time of year. So lets see shall we? This is 2 coats of Orly Au Champagne and one coat of Snow Angel.

 This is such a beautiful polish. It does, however, go on very lumpy. I used 2 coats of Seche Vite and its still very gritty. This polish is best layered over something else. I think it would take 3 or 4 coats to get full opacity, and like I said, this is lumpy polish. But look... its so PERFECT.

It's so frosty. I think the reason I love this polish so much is because it give a lot of depth to what is a shallow boring colour. It's just so pretty. (Please excuse my lobster fingers. I took these after coming home from a long walk.)

You know this was make a wonderful wedding day mani or pedi. I'll probs wear a bright red  to match my lipstick on my wedding day... in the very distant future. VERY DISTANT! Hahaha! My Kleancolour Chucky Holos arrived too. What do you want to see tomorrow? More Lynn or Chucky Holo Layers?

Genius.

Yesterday my Ozotic's arrived!!! YAY! Ozotic are know for their outstanding multichromes and strong hlographics. But the person who said "I know, lets put both together!" was a bloody genius! This is Ozotic 531

The shift is manly from bronzey-copper to gold with a hint of green. But I can see some blue.

 How that was pic heavy!This was taken in the sunshine. It so beautiful. I love holographic nail polish. I need to invest in more! I did try with the black as a base and while the colour was stronger, it was very messy. Until you are anal about where you apply the colour you can see the black at the edges and it just made it look dirty. And as you can see here you can get the same affect without the black as a base. I applied 3 coats here with no black base, and Sech Vite as a topcoat, which doesn't dull the holo effect. Ozotic I love you.

Fairy Dust.

I went to my local wholesaler to buy Orly Au Champagne in anticipation for my Lynderella Snow Angel which should arrive next week. I also bought China Glaze Fairy Dust. It's a delicate holo glitter. Great for layering. I've always wanted a holo red so I tried it over China Glaze Poinsettia.

Definitely not a a linear holo but it has a nice sparkle to it. This is taken indoors.

Taken outside. I love it because the red is so stark, and I'm used to seeing pastel holo's.

I do however wish it would blend more in with the colour as a appose to just sitting on top of the polish. I think I'm going to invest in a holo topcoat. The Glitter Gal one looks good. I waiting on so many packages of nail polish to come. I'm waiting for three Lynderellas, thanks to Llarowe, Orly Fowl Play, and half the Chunky Holo collection from Kleancolour.

Blue Jelly

I have a really nice summery mani for you guys today. I bought OPI Last Friday Night a few weeks ago because I loved how it looked layered over black. But I really wanted to see what it would look like layered over a blue to bring out the blue jelly in the polish. I used China Glaze 2Nite as the base. I know, I know. A mortal sin to use a OMG holo as a based to be layered over, but I don't have very many light or medium toned blues in my collection.

 I really like this manicure. Nice and light. I love periwinkle blue. I definitely need to buy more of that kind of colour. I used two coats of 2Nite and three coats of LFN. The three coat of LFN means I have the suspensed glitter-jelly look as a oppose to just being layered on.

I think I have a new favourite manicure!

It's so sparkly. And to think I HATED Last Friday Night for months!

Christmas Eve

The life of a sales assistant sucks this time of year! I've pretty much been working every day since I last posted. Add on my last major for Tafe (University for dummies hahaha) and you've got yourself no time to blog. Boohoo. But my nails have been glossy and glamorous for the day heading up to Christmas. For Christmas Eve day I went all out.

I used China Glaze Holly Day for the base, ChG Love Marilyn and then OPI Fresh Frog of Bel Air over the top.

I really love how this look in the photos. IRL Holly Day is a lot darker and doesn't match the Xmas-y theme I'm going for. I have no idea what I am going to do for Christmas day. I really love ChG Poinsettia with Love Marilyn over it. But I also want to use ChG Twinkle Lights. Decisions, decisions! I'll let you know! Have a fabulous Christmas!

Glitter, glitter glitter!

Well, as you'd know by now, it's very rare for me to post a glitter mani. I don't do them often. But I do I like layering best. Which is exactly what I've done. You should also know that OPI Road House Blue is one of my favourite polishes, so I'm going to used it again. Because that's how much I love it.

This, my friends, is OPI RHB with OPI Last Friday Night. I HATEEEEDD LFN until I saw it over a black. I had only seen people wear it as is. It look hideous by it self. So sheer and see-through. Yuck! But on a dark polish. WOW! Great layering polish!

Bluey-jade micro glitter with small iridescent glitter. So pretty. Galaxy-ques. I then added Inglot 204, the blue flakies.

  It really lightens the mani up. Give's a bit of a highlight. Looks icy. Nice, Nice! I quite enjoyed wearing this mani. I will definitely wear it again, maybe for NYE. I need to find a blue creme the same colour as jelly base in LFN so I can wear the polish that's in the bottle!

Santa Vomit

Watta name for a post, right? Well, this is exactly what this polish is. China Glaze Twinkle Light. A mixture of tiny red green and gold glitter. Classic glitter as I like to call it. It was the only kind of glitter you used to get way back in the day and now they are releasing multi-sized glitter and no classic anymore. So I like it. (I hope that made sense!) Great coverage too!

God, this glitter. I just freaking love it. IT'S SO NOT ME. I cannot emphasise that enough. I don't like gold, and to be honest I haven't really been big into glitter. But, this... THIS. It's just so Christmas-y and sparkly and beautiful. I wasn't a fan of this until I saw in the store. I feel like I might wear this or some variation of this on Christmas day.

I then French tips this mofo. The red is CG Poinsetta and the green is CG Holly-Day. Can this get anymore Christmas-y. The answer is no.

I LOVE XMAS!

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas Nails.

What a fabulous time of year. Always been my favourite time of year. Putting up the tree, shopping for gifts, hot weather, having holidays. It's just a fun time of year. Today I went out and bought half China Glaze's Let It Snow collection. Hahahahaa! At $6 each, it's not much of a big spend. I wanted kind of a Christmas explosion on my nails. So I started of with this.

This is China Glaze Poinsetta. I've wanted this ever since I saw the swatches last month. Soooo beautiful. But when I got home I realised it almost a dupe for China Glaze Scarlet, which is a tad more orange-y.

 Poinsetta has a gorgeous candy-red to it. I then added CG Twinkle Lights as an accent. I didn't like that polish when I saw it in swatches but now I LOVVVEEEE IT.

 Looks like Christmas threw up on my nails. Because I wanted to try all my polishes, this was just my left hand.

  

This is CG Holly-Day on my right hand. It was kind of hard for me to apply. Maybe 'cause I've only tried it on my right hand but it was really running and I either had too much or not enough polish on the brush. I've become quite a pro at painting my nails now so I can't blame it on my poor skills anymore. It's a shame 'cause it a GORGEOUS true green. I don't go crazy for greens but this was just too perfect and creamy to pass up. It was after I photographed this that I realise how much I loved Twinkle Lights and how amazing it would look by itself. That's tomorrow post.

I'm going to Sydney tomorrow for the Foo Fighter concert. But I'll make some delayed posts so I don't have a gap.

Massive slacker.

Wow! It only took me two months to reach the blogging cliche of not posting for ages. So sorry. I did however take photos of my many manciures. This first one I'm going to show you isn't my favourite. I'm not a fan of foils. I dunno why, I feel they look cheap and boring on me. I used OPI DS Radiance. I bought this nail polish back when I was a novice and I thought it was a silver holo. Needless to say, when I got home and realised it was a shitty foil, I was devastated. Hahahaaa. And ever since I've been trying to find ways to use it . I've done the black and silver reverse french where theres a small curve of silver at the cuticles, which I love. But other than that, this polish remains un-used for so long.

This was also the first time I used my black striper. My lines look crap. Getting it perfect is so much harder than I thought!

Then I finished it of with Revlon Galaxy which I picked up for $2 on a clearance table. Galaxy is so beautiful in the bottle but on the nail it applies terribly. I should leave it open for a day to thicken up. This was 2 goopy Galaxy. TWO coats. Doesn't even look like one! So yes. This mani can be file under failure. AWWWWW!
