NFU OH MY GOD!

Hey, so a while back I promised an NFU Oh post. This is it.

I'll give you some background on the relationship NFU Oh and I have. I have wanted one of these polishes for a good year. I think #51 was my very first lemming. And in July last year, I went hunting for them. It turned out they were sold in a nail salon five minute from my place, Vivd Nails. My precious NFU Oh's were there the whole time! And the week I found out about Vivid Nails and they had moved to another location! GUHHH! And I tried to order online from Vivid but the shipping costs confused me it looked like I was going to be paying $30 for one polish from a company that 20 mins away from me! That's just ludicrous! Plus I couldn't find any colours I liked. I couldn't find them anywhere else online that shipped to Australia. Then I saw that Fabulous Street shipped to Oz! Thank god! This NFU Oh 51 over Revlon Royal.

Oh I just love this polish! Both polishes! I love the multichromatic shimmer as well with the flakes. It just glows!

Elytra Splurge

So the next couple of weeks my aim is to buy all the Ozotics that I like. I have all the multichromes that I want and now I have all the Elytras. Next week is Holos. Oh I love holos. Anyway. This is  2 coats of Ozotic 530 over Wet n Wilds Black Creme.

I didn't love this manicure at first. I didn't see the shifts as much. It definitely grew on me. And I am super happy with these photos. I think the Elytras photograph well. So glad I bought these now!

Prismatic!

Hey guys, today I have China Glaze Prismatic polish. I swear I did not like these polishes when I first saw them. I'm not a fan of multicolour glitter. I like colour order and groups. But I saw a couple of them layered over black and I decided that if I saw them in a shop, I'd get them. Which I did last week. I bought Liquid Crystal and this one, Optical Illusion.

This is 2 coats of Optical Illusion over Wet n' Wild Black Creme.

This photo was taken in the sun.

There isn't much of a colour shift, Liquid Crystal has more of shift but I still really love this one. I did try Ozotic 505 over it but 505 was too blue and changed the colour of polish too much for my liking.

I have to say. I really love these polishes. They are just so beautiful and unique. And really any photos just don't these polishes justice.

Red Red Red!

OMG They are getting rid of Ozotic 500 series! WHY!?! Multichromes, Elytra, Mish Mash and Holo all gone by July. BOOHOO. So I splurged on the all 3 Elytra. I'll probably buy a fair few Holos before they are discontinued. But to the post. The other day I saw a China Glaze polish that I never thought I'd get at my local wholesale store. I found China Gaze Ruby Pumps, from the Wizard of Oz collection released years ago, just sitting there next to a plain boring creme not releasing how special it is. It's so pretty.

This is seriously gorgeous polish. As you know I love my reds, this is just a classic sparkly-glittery red. I find it so beautiful.

I have a few special polishes to show you soon. I bought a few Nfu Oh (finally!!!). They are so pretty! And I bought some Cult Nails polish from the $5 sale over the weekend. I also got a new tattoo today. It's City and Colour related. I love it so much, it look incredible (hehe)!

Sunrise Sunset

Hello, there!

Today I have a little gradient art to show you. I got this method from Sammy over at the The Nailasaurus. This is such a good gradient method. Because I was using a multiple colours I also took inspiration from The Beauty Department and painted the colour onto the sponge.

I LOVED this manicure. I got so many compliments and it was so fun to do. I started with a base of China Glaze Lemon Fizz and sponged on a gradient of Lemon Fizz, China Glaze Peachy Keen, NYC Colours Tahiti, Zoya Sooki and OPI Vodka and Caviar. I then alternated the way I sponged it so that gradient was mix matched.
I added a coats of LA Girl Glitter Addict Uninhabited, MY FAVOURITE GLITTER! Yum!

Do you see my middle finger? You see the corner is cut off on the left side? This one of the main reasons I haven't blogged in a while. EVERY week this breaks off, in the same place too. Same with my pointer, the edge of the nail keeps breaking. It's driving me insane. Every time I get a bit of length my corners break and I have to file my nails down again. GAHHHH!

FLOWERSSSS!

Hey guys,

So a few weeks ago I went my best friends 21st. I had such a good time. And I have such an intricate manicure. I wanted to match the pants I was wearing. I don't really do nail art that often. I very much like the simpleness of a classic red creme manicure but it was my best friends 21st so I had to bring my A game!

I started with one coat of Wet and Wild Black Creme, an opaque black but I'm not fan of the forumla. Too thick and the brush sucks. I then painted blobs of OPI Alpine Snow and triangles next to blobs as an underlay for the red and green.

The red is Nicole by OPI Kourt is Red-y for Pedi. I FINALLY HAVE IT YAY! Hahaha. Little side story. Been wanting it for months because Kourtney Kardashian created this colour to match her favourite lipstick YSL Le Orange, which is my favourite lipstick. It is the perfect balance of red and orange. So I have been dying to have this colour and for some reason the Kardashian Kolours didn't come to Oz until about two months ago and even then it was really hard to find. And I have no idea where to by Nicole by OPI online, all the place I shop either don't stock it or didn't have the K-Kolours. Anyway, the green is China Glaze Gaga for Green and Holly Day.

So after the white dried I use a small paint brush and applied the red and then mixed more white, swirling the two colours together.

Painted the greens on and TADA! Flower nails. I VERY much enjoyed wearing these flowers. Everyone was super impressed.

Oh here's a picture me in the pants! Incase you can't tell, I'm the one wearing pants. These are my high school friends, they are such a lovely bunch. We will be friends til death.

Little Hell

Sorry it's been a while. I feel like every few weeks I go away and then pop back up again. Life got a little hectic. I started a new job (YAY for monies), which has been taken up most of my time. Since I take my photos during the day, I can't do that while I'm out working. It's so depressing because I've done so many good manicures since that I haven't been able to take photos of.

So last week I went to see my favourite band, City and Colour, twice. For those of you paying attention to the little playlists I have down the bottom of my posts, you'll know I am a huge fun of City and Colour and Alexisonfire. I'm pretty much a HUGE Dallas Green fan. That man is my hero. He is so talented and SUPER nice (met him last year). He has the best voice I have ever heard, will ever hear. Last Wednesday (not last night, week before) I was pretty much crying in my seat the whole time he was playing. It was really sort of a life changing show. One of those nights you look back in years to come and think if I have a time machine I'd go back to that night. I love shows like that. I think concerts and shows are the only time I feel I belong in this world. Not in a depressing way but more of a warm, confident "This is why I am here in this world". To absorb and reflect great music; and the honesty and community that comes with it. So after all this here is my post. I have been saving a special little manicure for about 2 months so that I could post it when I saw City and Colour. I entered this in More Nail Polish's Lynnderella competition (old, right?)

This is the album art for his latest record, Little Hell. What a great album. And seeing these song played live just made these song jump to life.  So in honour of this album I did my nails in Little Hell.

I used a bobby pin as a dotting tool. I love how it turned out but, as you can see in the last photo you can see, it was lumpy as shit! Hahaha! I have no idea what colours I used, sorry. If you really want to know, tell me and I'll try to remember.

I honestly love this band so much and that show I went to was the best live performance I've ever been to. He played a fantastic setlist from each albums and finished with my all time favourite song, Hope For Now (WHAT A GREAT SONG, RIGHT?!?). What bands/artists make you feel like this? The kind of music that makes you smile and inspires you just by going to see them for one night, even if your life is a complete train wreck. If you listen to him or if you've never heard of City and Colour let me know what you think.

(My workmates think I talk about this band like I should a boyfriend. And it's so true.)
